Bryan Jimenez gives Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity late push to beat Nimitz, 7-3

Bryan Jimenez brought home the go-ahead run to give Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity the lead in the seventh inning, as Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity hung on to beat Nimitz 7-3 on Thursday.

Luis Castillo singled to get on base in the seventh. He then went from first to second.


Jesse Quinones reached base two times. He singled in the first inning.



Kenneth Adams picked up the win for Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity. Adams pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out four.


Sanchez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.

The top of the first saw Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity take an early lead, 2-0. Victor Cruz kicked things off for Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity with a single. A single by Quinones then moved Cruz from first to third. Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity then tacked on more runs when Quinones scored on a wild pitch.

Nimitz put up one run in each of the second, fourth and fifth. In the second, Nimitz scored on a groundout by Rose, bringing home Besera.
