Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity survives Eisenhower 7-6 thanks to Fabian Chapa's late-game heroics

Fabian Chapa brought home the winning run to give Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity the lead in the eighth inning, as Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity hung on to beat Eisenhower 7-6 on Thursday.

Miguel Martinez doubled to get on base in the eighth. He then went from second to third on a groundout by Bryan Jimenez.

Chapa was solid at the plate for Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity. Chapa went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs.

 

Jesse Quinones put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity. He tripled in the first inning, singled in the second and fourth innings, and doubled in the sixth inning.

 

Martinez got the win in relief for Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity. Martinez pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed three runs.

K Garcia couldn't get it done on the hill for Eisenhower, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in eight innings, walked one and struck out seven.
