Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity drop Eisenhower 9-4 behind Kenneth Adams's early single

Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity built an early lead against Eisenhower, scoring five runs in the first inning, en route to a 9-4 win on Friday at Davis.

Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity scored in the first on a two-run single byKenneth Adams, a two-run double by Luis Castillo, and an RBI single byMartin Peña.

 

Castillo racked up four RBIs on two hits for Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity.

 

 

Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity relied on Miguel Martinez to eat up innings en route to the win. Martinez pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk while striking out one.

 

M Mendez was charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked five and struck out four.

Two runs in the top of the fourth helped Eisenhower close its deficit to 5-1. An error triggered Eisenhower's comeback. Finally, Martinez induced an inning-ending ground out from R Menefee.

Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity increased its lead with four runs in the fifth. The inning looked promising, as Castillo singled, plating Fabian Chapa and Jeremy Syas to kick things off.

Two runs in the top of the seventh helped Eisenhower close its deficit to 9-3. A sacrifice fly by C Smith and an error gave Eisenhower life. Eisenhower's A Arroyo flew out to end the ballgame.

Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity seize victory thanks to late error, drop MacArthur 5-4

Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity and MacArthur volleyed the lead five times on Saturday, but Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity came out on top for a 5-4 win on Saturday at Davis.

Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity finally managed to grab the lead after a strong ninth inning. An error scored Miguel Martinez and gave Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity the lead for good.

 

It was a good day at the plate for Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity's Keelan Wilson. Wilson went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

 

 

Kenneth Adams baffled MacArthur, striking out six batters. Adams allowed three earned runs on four hits and four walks over seven innings.

 

Jeremy Syas recorded the win for Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. Syas struck out none, walked one and gave up one hit.

#14 was charged with the loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed one run.

The bottom of the first saw Benjamin Davis Falcons Varsity take an early lead, 1-0. A double by Martinez, bringing home Jesse Quinones started the inning off.
