Davis High School has completed the roll-out of its new website, in association with their new student activity platform (Repu).  The primary goal of the site is to highlight the great activities and successes happening at Davis. The new website has links to student activities with stories, schedules, and picture galleries for sports and student activities.

According to Brad Kaplan, the digital learning specialist who helped to implement the new platform, “Davis High School students and staff are

involved in so many great things.  This activity platform, in conjunction with the new website, will help keep everyone up to date with student success at the school”.

The new website was a long time coming and has increased the speed at which information can be shared with the school’s stakeholders, including

students, staff, and parents.  Users who have downloaded the app are able to see everything that is going on with the click of a button.  Scott Joseph, the athletic coordinator at Davis, helped to encourage the implementation after he came on staff in the middle of the 2018-2019 school year. Joseph said, “The Davis website is out of date.  Many coaches looking at the website mentioned how nothing on the site was up to date. It hindered people from understanding what great things were happening at Davis.”

The new site is sleek in design and easy to navigate.  The student activity platform allows coaches and sponsors of student activities to control the content of their program.   The new app allows for the rapid dissemination of information through an IOS or Android-based phone app. Also, the advanced features of the app will enable fans to follow various activities and even receive score updates during a game.

Kaplan said that in the first two weeks of the platform’s roll-out, nearly 1000 stakeholders have downloaded the app.  He said, “it shows that our patrons are interested in knowing what is going on in their school. It is not just athletics, but will include all school activities, including FFA, culinary arts, and everything you can imagine”.

The student activities app can be downloaded on any mobile device by searching for Repu.  The green R is the app to download. The platform has schedules, events, pictures, and news stories created by each of the sponsors and will help engage stakeholders at Davis High School.
